Indie bands/singers logo's

This is the "Arctic Monkeys" logo. The main colours are black and white, with writing that seems to go diagonal. This logo is very simple but is very effective. The white writing on the black background makes it stand out and makes it easier for fans to recognise them by their logo. Although at first glance the writing seems to be in a straight line, the more you look at it the more it seems to be on a slant.

This is logo for the singer "Hozier". I really like this logo, because of again the colour scheme makes it stand out, but also because of the font choice. The writing looks like someone has just scribbled down his name, and the ink spots suggest carelessness. Also the letters are slightly smudged, again suggesting how quickly someone has written this. I think this logo shows the personality of the singer and makes the logo more personal.

This is a logo for the band "foster the people". I like this logo as well. I like the way that the circle is clearly made to look like it has been coloured in. I also like the way the writing of the name of the band is made to fit the circle. The words are curved into the shape to fit instead of the circle fitting the words.
Again, the main cover scheme in this logo is black and white. The circle represents unity, something that doesn't have a beginning or an end.

This is the "Nirvana" logo. This colour scheme is a little different to the rest. The yellow in this logo is meant to represent energy and joy, while the black colour stands for power and supremacy. The smiley face is meant to represent death, and shows a complete stage of happiness. But again, similar to the rest of the logo's it has a black background, making it stand out and eye catching.
This is the "Paramore" logo. I really like the font of this logo, because it looks like it has been scratched into something. The font makes the writing look it has been written in the air using sparklers. I really like this font because of how different each letter is. Each letter has a different shape and some are even missing lines, I think this makes the logo very memorable.
This is "The Smiths" logo. This logo is very simplistic, with the dominating colour being black for the text. The text is in a simple row, and they have used a very professional font. All of the font is in capitals as well, creating a sense of power from the logo.
